- ARM support for openSUSE Buildservice and openSUSE - Status update
- "Its a while since I posted the status about the ongoing work for ARM support in the OBS and for an openSUSE port. It all started with my participation in the OBS development as an external contributor. Then, on Hackweek 2008, we had the idea to enforce a new solution other than the traditional methods of compiling code either natively or via a cross compiler on a host system. The idea was to give build scripts as much of the target enviroment as they need to just work without changes in the packaging definition - in order not to change thousands of package descriptions which define a linux distribution."
- openSUSE 11.1 KDE4 Reloaded: Includes KDE 4.2.2 and 11.1 Updates
- "While 11.2 is still months away there’s still plenty of activity going on with openSUSE. In addition to last week’s milestone release, you can also get your hands on openSUSE 11.1 Reloaded. This is a respin of openSUSE 11.1, including KDE 4.2.2 packages and updates to 11.1."

Thanks to both :) The abbrev YaST means Yet another Setup Tool, however it is also used to install or upgrade your system. To find out which YaST modules are installed in your system, write /sbin/yast2 as root in terminal and press the [Tab] key three times - YaST already supports command-line completion."

- ZDNET: HP debuts ProBook laptops with preinstalled SuSE Linux
- "Hewlett-Packard today announced its new ProBook series of 14-, 15.6- and 17.3-in. laptops intended to merge business functionality, stylish design cues and a (hopefully) low price tag. The “s-series,” or standard series, of the new ProBook line incorporates a mercury-free design and a high-definition LED backlit display. The company says the line is inspired by minimalism and comes in “merlot” or glossy “noir” finishes. It also appears to have a raised chiclet-style keyboard, all the rage these days on Apple and Sony machines."
